This Sunday! The Virtuous and the Playful

Two intriguing events are offered this coming Sunday, March 18th - and if you are wishing to spend the day in well-rounded diversity, I believe these two events might bookend your day nicely.

Firstly, at 2pm the grand tradition of the Aether Salon continues. If you have never attended Salon, I encourage you to do so. Held once a month on the third Sunday, topics can range from the sublime to the absurd. You will find yourself both enlightened and entertained. Oh, and there's cake!

This month - Virtuosity! Steadman Kondor will be discussing artistic photography and its presentation in Second Life, and reflect on his personal journey as an artist without formal training.

Later Sunday night from 8-9pm slt, put on those Prohibition era glad rags and skeedaddle over to the Java Jive in the decidedly Dieselpunk sim of Seraph City for a reunion of sorts! Many of you will remember the New Champagne Rooms with it's evening burlesque performances (always a 'tasteful tease'). The New Champagne Rooms were closed down by the local law enforcers for various violations (she says smiling, knowing this was all in the spirit of storytelling, and allowing for Ahnyanka Delphin to have some leisure, after many years of running the club.) Ahnya is now a co-partner at the Java Jive - a Jazz venue in Seraph City. But lately, she's been feeling the urge to get together a show, New Champagne Rooms style.

If you have never enjoyed seeing the Champagne Ladies on stage, do swing by! Everyone is welcome (well, perhaps not the kids!), but let me assure you, if you are, perhaps, a single woman who's ready to dismiss this event - don't. Every guest is special and will be treated as such! I think you'll have a fine time with these classy, sassy, fun ladies!

The New Champagne Rooms 4th Anniversary Ball

Please join the Champagne Ladies as they celebrate four years (yes, four years!) of shake and shimmy, sass and class, and that vintage Burlesque you've enjoyed in the sumptuous surroundings of the New Champagne Rooms.

You'll enjoy dancing to live music by Avedvina Citron, followed by special music selections with DJ Diana Garsdale. The champagne will be flowing and the crowd will no doubt be bubbly! Please do join us - the fun is guaranteed, and who knows what all may happen?

3rd Annual Sweethearts Ball

At The New Champagne Rooms the spirit of the 1930s and 40s are alive and kicking, burly style! On February 20th at 1pm slt, the ladies of the New Champagne Rooms step out of the dressing room and into ballgowns. A romantic Sweethearts Ball will be held inside the club and will include dancing, music and a special treat. The ladies have never been good at keeping surprises, so I have been informed the special treat will be a delightful date auction. The ladies (and a loose fella) of the New Champagne Rooms will be auctioning themselves for a date with all proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. They welcome you to join them for this very special occasion and join in the excitement.

We are very excited to release our newest Pin-up Calendar at the New Champagne Rooms in Seraph City. Please join us for a party this Friday, January 7th from 8-10pm SLT. We will be dancing and enjoying music in the ball room so come and relax and have fun with us while we celebrate the end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011.

New Champagne Rooms Celebrates Three Years of Classic Burlesque!

The New Champagne Rooms is proud to celebrate it's third consecutive year of burlesque with a Silver Screen Ball. As a tribute to the wonders of black and white cinema, we will be dancing the night away in black and white ourselves!

Join us this Saturday from noon to 2pm SLT at The New Champagne Rooms in Seraph City as we dance upstairs in the ballroom to a live DJ. In the lobby you will find a free gray scale skin and though costume isn't required, won't it be fun?

The New Champagne Rooms moves to Seraph City!

After 2 years of entertaining crowds on the Jersey Island sim, the New Champagne Rooms is proud to announce the Grand Opening celebration of their new home on Seraph City. At 3pm SLT, the Grand Opening Gala will include vintage burlesque from the lovely Champagne Ladies, fire eating talent of fellow Seraph City residents, Fire for Thought, and the remarkable DJ, Miss Gabrielle Riel of Radio Riel.

The New Champagne Rooms is famous for being a traditional 20’s-40’s vintage burlesque theater that features lovely ladies putting on a cool, sophisticated performance in a chic, classy environment. These signature performances will fit beautifully in Seraph City, a retro-futuristic themed sim and set in the timeframe between the World Wars. Designing Worlds Returns to New Babbage to Explore Burlesque!

Join our special viewing party at Piermont Landing in Wheatstone Waterways today (Tuesday 30th March) at 2pm SLT for a very unusual episode of Designing Worlds!

Last October, the Designing Worlds teams visited New Babbage to explore the amazing new underground railway system .. but things went terribly wrong when they were party to the discovery of the cellars of a long-forgotten Asylum, and its dark secrets. Elrik and Saffia were lucky to escape with their lives that time – but, nothing daunted, they are returning to New Babbage to investigate the phenomenon of burlesque.

After all, what could possibly go wrong?



Well … you will see … as they find themselves caught up in a new Babbage adventure.

This week, the Designing Worlds viewing party is NOT in the studio, but will be hosted by Miss Breezy Carver at Piermont Landing in Wheatstone Waterways. The show starts at 2pm, but this is going to be an exciting episode, and we recommend you arrive early if you can.
